Hardcase #2

Choice, a mysterious Ultra, is on the run from "Interceptors", who are trying to return her to the Choice Corporation. Meanwhile, Hardcase is attending the funeral of Officer Jamal Brown, one of the cops killed by Head Knocker. The Choice Corporation will do anything to get Choice back, including murdering Hardcase, who they speculate she is heading to meet. After the funeral, Hardcase is on the phone with his agent when Choice flies up to his balcony. She tells him she needs help, as she has no memory of her past or identity, and she can't remove her costume for more than a few hours. Hardcase agrees to help as the Interceptors fire missles at his house. Angered, he attacks one, and the other stuns and captures Choice. Hardcase leaps after them, freeing Choice, who flies him away from the plummeting Interceptor, who is hit by a truck and killed. Interrogating the remaining Interceptor (who covers up for his employers), Hardcase decides he and Choice will go to Choice HQ for answers.
